The Art Therapy Club at the California School of Professional Psychology presents . . .

Collaging Self-Portraits in Psychotherapy

In this six-hour experiential workshop, participants will experience several collaging self-portrait techniques that they can utilize with their clients and/or for establishing their own self-care routine. The presenter will first briefly lecture on the benefits and clinical applications of using these techniques. Ideas related to the creation and reconstruction of personal narratives and intuitive collaging techniques will also be presented. This will help participants' understanding of how to utilize the self-portrait as a retrospective, within the self-reflection process.

The majority of the workshop will be experiential and no previous art experience is necessary. Handouts and collage materials will be provided within the workshop fee. Please bring scissors and any collage images of your own that you wish to utilize.
