Los Angeles County Psychological Association presents . . .
The Los Angeles County Psychological Association (LACPA) Outreach Committee is pleased to announce Mirrors of the Mind 6: The Psychotherapist as Artist. In its sixth year, this exhibition explores and celebrates the intersection of psychology, arts and creativity in the vibrant mental health community. This special event is a carefully curated mix of visual art created by psychologists, psychotherapists, psychology professors and psychotherapy students, as well as invited presentations on creativity and the power of art—the event is free and open to the public.
Juried by professionals in both the art and psychotherapy communities, these various works of art reveal how psychotherapists use their creativity to cross-fertilize, heal, rail against, and renew through self-expression. Mirrors of the Mind is a rare opportunity to peer into the normally veiled, private spaces of the psychotherapist. As with therapy sessions themselves, these visual pieces sing of anguish and love.
