Art for Recovery at the UCSF Helen Diller Family Comprehensive Cancer Center

mission:

Conceived in l988 by Ernest H. Rosenbaum, MD, and directed by Cynthia D. Perlis since its inception, the program brings artists, writers, poets, musicians, and medical students to patients, their caregivers and the UCSF medical staff to listen, to share, and to encourage expression through words, images, music, and quilt-making. Our mission is to share this creativity with the community to heal our spirits, leave a legacy, and teach compassion.
