Educators, caregivers, parents, and kids face many unknowns in the transition back to in-person school. With the weight of the last 17+ months ever present, it is vital to continue to support one another and our children’s social-emotional needs. Here are a few resources we’ve come across as we head into fall.
- Great Good Magazine article, “How to Make This Hard Transition Back to School With Your Students,” by Amy L. Eva
- The Collaborative for Academic, Social, and Emotional Learning (CASEL), in collaboration with more than 40 organizations, developed this re-opening roadmap for schools and administrators, to support planning for the transition back to schools, in whatever form that takes.
- The Cope & Hope Photo Project, shaped by Black Lives Matter artist, Foremost, documented how students, families, and schools across the state experienced the impacts of school closures and distance learning due to the coronavirus pandemic—and how they hope their schools will transform in the future.
