Career Transition For Dancers

With offices in New York City, Los Angeles, Chicago and a mobile National Outreach Project, Career Transition For Dancers is a nonprofit organization that enables dancers to define their career possibilities and develop the skills necessary to excel in a variety of disciplines.

The organization has two funds committed to helping dancers realize their career transition objectives: 1) the Caroline H. Newhouse Scholarship Fund, which provides $2,000 in scholarships or grants to initiate an academic or retraining process or to help professional dancers with start-up money for a new business; and 2) the Sono Osato Scholarship Program for Graduate Studies, which provides $5,000 scholarships toward graduate degrees in fields other than dance, such as the creative arts therapies.
