Social-Emotional Learning through the Arts Makes Headlines

New Jersey has become the first state in the nation to provide a formal roadmap to educators on how to weave social emotional learning into their arts curriculum. Read more about this monumental milestone in N.J. Warren’s article here.

In related news, we are a partner on a five-year, $3.3-miliion-dollar grant awarded by the US Department of Education to Humboldt County Office of Education. We are excited to announce that not only were we able to play a role in the actual application, but will also be a part of curriculum design and implementation. The project, ArtSEL (Art/Social-Emotional Learning), will measure the outcomes of integrating arts education and social emotional learning in schools across the county.
